Xante, tell us about your 2025/26 season.

This year I took my final school exams in the Netherlands. That sometimes made it difficult to combine school and skiing. But with a lot of commitment and good planning, I managed it well. Next season I can now concentrate fully on skiing and racing.

Who supported you particularly strongly last season?

As always, my parents and coaches. What was especially nice last season was that my one-year-old little brother came along to four races to cheer me on.

About the Ski-Club and its history

How long have you been part of the Ski-Club?

I have been with the club since my second year in the children’s category - so for nine years now. I have competed in a great many races, countless ones together with my brother Casper. That was always cool, and I still enjoy it when we occasionally get to race at the same events.

The Ski-Club is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. What does that mean to you?

I think it is cool to be part of a ski club with such a long tradition and members all over the world.

Do you remember a special anecdote or story that you associate with the Ski-Club?

Playing Wii together during the training camp in Hintertux comes to mind. And, of course, the exchange with Vail. That was an unforgettable experience.

What creates the sense of togetherness in the Ski-Club for you?

I think the coaches and the strong camaraderie among everyone are very important.

If you imagine the Ski-Club another 25 years from now, what do you hope for the future of the club and for the next generation of athletes?

Plenty of snow and a great permanent race piste in St. Anton! That would be very important.
