Interview with Maximilian in summer 2025
Maximilian, your first FIS season was marked by highs and lows. How would you sum it up personally?
After good training in the summer and autumn, I was looking forward to my first FIS season. Despite a few setbacks, it was an instructive year for me. I had knee problems in November and couldn't start training until mid-December. I had my first race on 11 December. I was looking forward to every race and was highly motivated at the start. At the end of January, I broke my thumb during SG training. But I fought my way through, started every race with motivation and gave my best.
Were there any moments you are particularly proud of?
I was able to score quite well in all disciplines. I am particularly proud of my performance in the downhill. I really enjoyed this discipline and was able to gain my first experience in it this year.
How do you feel about the coming months?
Summer training has already begun and I am preparing for my second FIS season, which I am already very much looking forward to. I want to improve my skiing skills and my FIS points. My focus is clearly on further development.
May I ask you for one last motivational sentence for the next season?
I am already looking forward to next winter and will work hard to continue climbing the rankings.
