SCA gold coin in honour of Hannes Schneider

Hannes Schneider is regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of skiing and is inextricably linked to the development of skiing on the Arlberg. With his pioneering Arlberg skiing technique, he has had a lasting impact on the sport of skiing and brought the Arlberg Ski School to international prominence.

With an exclusive SCA commemorative coin, the Ski-Club Arlberg wishes to honour his extraordinary achievements and his enduring legacy.

At the same time, the coin symbolises the future of skiing in the Arlberg region: a portion of the proceeds goes directly towards the Ski-Club Arlberg’s youth development programme.

The coin is made from 99.9% fine gold and is issued exclusively in a high-quality SCA presentation box. It is minted by ABC Bullion, a manufacturer specialising in precious metals.

Important: The coins will be minted exclusively in accordance with binding pre-orders received. There will be no further production of the coin (one-off).

The coins will be struck and the gold purchased once the order period has ended. The final selling price will be fixed at the time of production based on the gold price prevailing at that time. The coins will be delivered to us in the Arlberg region during the 2026/27 winter season.
