124th Club Championship - a special night race through the Rauz Tobel in Stuben

Stuben, 31.1.2025 - The 124th Club Championships of the Ski-Club Arlberg were held last Friday in Stuben under perfect piste conditions. Despite challenging weather conditions with fog and snowfall, the organisation team from the SCA Stuben branch in collaboration with the Lech and St. Anton branches managed to put on an outstanding race. Over 130 registrations ensured that the race was fully booked early on.

Club members from near and far - in addition to local racers from all Arlberg towns, there were also a number of international starters from a wide variety of nations at the start - took part in the exciting competition and fought for the coveted title of club champion in the various age categories. The race took the participants through the "Rauz Tobel", an unusual race and a challenge for both racers and amateur riders alike. Thanks to the support of the fire brigade, the mountain railway, the mountain rescue service and the Albona Flow snow sports school in Stuben, the event went off without a hitch.

In the team competition, the "Skilosophen" team from the St. Christoph Federal Sports Centre beat off the competition with an impressive performance. The team from St. Anton was once again able to win the local team ranking, which was held for the second time, and thus defend the title just ahead of the Lech local team and the team from Stuben, meaning that the coveted challenge cup will remain in St. Anton for another year.

All age groups fought hard for the popular trophies in the SCA logo design. This year, Mario Wachter, who competes for the Stuben branch, won the men's event, while Nina Ess from St. Anton successfully defended her title in the women's event. The award ceremony took place in the atmospheric setting of the Après Post Hotel. The Ski-Club Arlberg Family celebrated late into the night in an exuberant atmosphere and with the best entertainment.
